To different materials those indicated, such as wood, plastic, fi berglass,
plaster, etc., the user should requires Technical Assistance of Starrett, to
indicate the best type of blade tooth. The same should be done for dimen-
sions higher than recommended.
CUTTING PROCESS:
1.
KEEP the Band Saw Blade out of part until that the motor has reached
the selected speed;
2.
START the cut over a surface where the maximum number of teeth will
be in contact with material to be cut (fi gure 6);
3.
HOLD the machine with 2 hands fi rmly;
4.
APPLY a light and constant pressure on the material to be cut. CHECK
the performance of cut. DECREASE the pressure if there is reduction of the
speed or deviation of cut;
5.
In the case of hard materials, only KEEP the machine's weight as cut-
ting pressure on the material;
6.
When the cut is concluded, CONTINUE holding the machine fi rmly to
don't drop it against the material to be cut.
