4 – INSTALLATION OF WATERMAKER
4.1 – PREPARATION
The hull fitting and the hull valve (V0) are supplied and installed by the shipyard.
The seawater feed hull fitting (SWI) should be placed as low as possible below the water line, in an area always immersed whatever the
boat's navigation rate may be.
The hull valve (V0) should be placed on the seawater feeding pipes, as close as possible to the hull fitting.
The reject hull fitting (R) should be placed above the water line.
NOTE: It is recommended to connect the seawater suction line of the reverse osmosis unit to a dedicated line without any function other than
the power supply of the R/O unit in order to avoid inadvertent dewatering related to other equipment.

4.2 – PLACING THE UNIT
The Watermaker : The main module should be bolted onto a rigid surface.
Seawater intake: The through-hull must correspond to the size of the hoses, as specified in the installation diagram. The through-
hull must be installed as deep as possible, towards the middle of the boat.
The sea strainer: The sea strainer should be near to the hull valve and imperatively fully charged with seawater.
The Low Pressure pump: The low pressure pump should be installed between the sea strainer and the 20µ and 5µ filters and
below the water line (at least 20cm) to avoid any trapped air. If this instruction is not followed, we cannot guarantee the good
operation of the unit.
An auxiliary tank: This tank is used to perform the flushing and sterilization of the system. See "Watermaker shutdown" Chap C.
The filters 20µ and 5µ (Version YK): The filters should be installed using the provided support, vertically against a wall. If
necessary, they can be slightly tilted.
The R/O module (Version YK): It is allowed to install the R/O module in any position, vertically or horizontally, provided the
pressure gauge and the pressure valve remain a correct accessibility.
HP pump and R/O module are connected together by a flexible hose (see Installation kit : 10 m length flexible hose to cut in the
length wished for your installation).
4.3 – ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
- The AQUA-BASE unit is equipped with a circuit breaker ensuring its protection and security. This doesn't ensure the
protection of your installation, which should be equipped with devices conforming to the current legislation.
- No other equipment should be fed from the AQUA-BASE UNIT box.
- Check beforehand that the unit voltage corresponds with the network.
The connection of the unit should be done on the electric terminal situated inside of the electric box, respecting section and mark of the
cables.
