FILTERCART
User instructions
The filter unit is only intended for indoor use. It is supplied with
an extraction arm which covers a radius of approximately two
meters. In order to achieve a maximum collection level of
air pollutants, the extraction unit's hood shall be positioned
as close to the pollution source as possible.
The filter unit is primarily designed for extraction and
filtration of welding fumes but can even be used for
grinding dust, etc. Note that the unit is not to be
used for extraction of fluids!
Before use, check the voltage and frequency on the
product's rating plate before the cord and plug are
connected to the power supply.
The hood is provided with a spotlight package
which can be operated by the switch on the side
of the hood. The hood is also provided with a
protective grill which prevents large objects
being drawn into the arm.
Two of the wheels on the filter unit are pivoting
and supplied with a foot operated parking lock.
Changing the filter cartridge
The unit's filter cartridge is disposable and should be thrown-away after
use. Changing the filter cartridge is simple: remove the top of the unit by
using the quick coupling.
The life of the filter cartridge varies greatly depending on how the unit is
used and how much and what type of pollutants are collected. Regularly
monitor the unit's extraction capacity at the source and change the filter
cartridge when the extraction capacity is poor.
Handle the used filter cartridges according to the relevant regulations for
the substances that have been collected.
NB! The new filter cartridge must be fitted in the correct position and in
the correct direction of flow. It is marked with arrows which shall be
directed upwards.
