WARNING : DO NOT START THE UNIT, THE BLEEDING VALVE BEING OPEN, IF THE UNIT IS NOT EQUIPPED
WITH THE BOOSTER PUMP.
9. Press the ON button (green) (30).
10. Check immediately that the sea water flow has been established.
WARNING : THE UNIT MUST NOT OPERATE FOR MORE THAN 30 SECONDS IF DRY.
11. After a few minutes, check that the system has been perfectly drained and that there is no air (bubbles) in the system. Check that there
are no leaks in the system.
12. Shut the cleaning valve (8) and progressively increase the pressure to 60 bar by using the pressure regulating valve (7) and controlling it
with the gauge. Check that the produced water containing excessive salinity has been discharged (operating the reject valve).
13. After a few minutes, check that the salinity has decreased, by using the salinometric indicator. (Progressive extinction of red and yellow
LEDS).
14. As soon as the salinity is correct (red LED switched off on the indicator), the "drinking water" signal lamp lights up. Check that the reject
valve turns and that the water is directed towards the tank.
15. Check the HP switch (4) by increasing the pressure to 70 bar using the pressure valve (7). If it doesn't cut out or if it cuts out too soon,
adjust it with the screw situated in the centre of the switch, loosening it to decrease the pressure break or vice versa.
16. Start the unit up again as described in mark 10.
17. Stop the unit by pressing the red OFF button (31).
18. Shut off the hull valve (V0).
19. If the unit is to be out of use for a short time, proceed with rinsing (Chap.73). If it is to be out of use for a long time, proceed with
preservation (Chap.74).
20. Report the starting up operations on the form found at the page 27. RETURN THE COPY to the factory.

73. RINSING (See Fig. 15p34)
WARNING: The rinsing should be carried out before stopping the unit for a short time. In case of prolonged stopping,

household bucket, which should be perfectly clean and FREE OF ANY TRACES OF GREASY SUBSTANCE
1. Fill the bucket with 10l of water produced by the
just add a pinch of preservation solution
2.. Immerse the rinsing piping (D) to the bottom of the bucket.
3. Set the inlet valve (1) to Rinsing position.
4. Close the air bleed valve (18) at the top of the filter 5µ.
5. Completely open the pressure regulating valve (7) by turning anti-clockwise.
6. Start up the unit by pressing on the green ON button (30) and keep a check on the water level in the bucket.
7. As soon as the bucket is empty, stop the unit by pressing the red OFF button (31).
8. Put the inlet valve (1) back to its sea water feeding position.
9. Open the air bleed valve (18).
74. PRESERVATION (See Fig. 15p34)
WARNING : Preservation should imperatively be carried out before stopping over a long period (more than 3 weeks).
1. Rinse according to the above method.

3. Feed the
unit with this solution according to the procedure described in Chap.73 points 2 to 9.
