The device must operate with a clear water stream. If there is a possibility of presence of gravel or suspended particles (facilities
with submersible pumps) use an adequate filter to avoid blocking the flow sensor. The device can only be used to move the clear
water
and cannot be used with other liquids.
It is advisable to use a suitable expansion vessel for each installation in order to avoid unnecessary start-ups due to dripping taps,
valves, etc. and also to avoid possible water hammer normally produced by the rapid closing of solenoid valves or valves with a
considerable flow of water.
CHAPTER 3
INSTALLATION (fig. 2a, 2b, 2c, 3)
It is essential to install a check valve or foot valve on the suction side of the pump in case of positive suction head installation.
In case of group assembly a collector should be fitted that connects the device outputs. The intake can be common with collector or
independently.
VSD must be installed in a vertical position (Fig.2a, 2b and 2c), connecting the inlet directly to the pump outlet and the outlet to the
water supply.
In the case of pump positive suction head installation, the fitting of an external level detector is recommended to prevent priming
of the pump resulting in having to repeat the subsequent pump priming procedure.
CHAPTER 4

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

wARNINGS:
Before any work on the device, disconnect the power supply. Intervene after the elapse of 2 minutes from disconnection to
prevent possible electric shock.
Make sure the power supply cannot be accidentally restored.
Ensure that the voltage and frequency specified on the rating plate match those of the mains supply available.
Check that the current absorbed by the electric pump is compatible with the maximum current that can be supplied by the
device
Electrical connection must be performed according to the local regulations in force.
The electrical conductors must in particular be protected from high temperatures, vibrations and bumps that could cause
mechanical or chemical damage.
The power supply line must be equipped with a short-circuit protection device, a high-sensitivity residual current device
RCD (30mA class A or AC) and secured with a 16A circuit breaker for VSD 6 M/T and 10 M/T and 20A for VSD 9 T/T and 14
T/T
The power supply line must be equipped with an external mains switch with a contact opening distance according to the
standard requirements in force.
