2.2. INSTALLATION OF THE ANDIRON IN HEATER MODELS H03/80
For your H03/80 heater use the andiron that
has been supplied with the body of your
fireplace (Boiler).
After mounting the outer frame, install the
andiron (simply placing it) in the gap
between the outer frame of the door lock and
inner frame that attaches to the body.
Note:
The andiron supplied with the front and door
you have chosen is not used in this device. It
is for other versions that are not heaters.
You may recycle it
During installation, the flue damper control
knob can be positioned to suit your
preference.
Choose either, the centre, to the left or to
the right of the flue.
Ensure that flue
corresponds with
symbol located on the control knob.
CLOSED position (-) when the flue damper
is in the HORIZONTAL position.
OPEN position (+) when the flue amper is
in the VERTICAL position.
The square flue pipe can be cut to the
required length.
The fire is regulated by use of the primary
and secondary air valves located on the
door.
We recommend that the flue damper is left in the OPEN position (+) and only moved
towards the CLOSED position (-) if the chimney draught becomes excessive.
3.1 CHECKING THE INSTALLATION AND FIRST IGNITION
When lighting the hearth for the first time we recommend a slow fire for 3 to 4 hours.
This will help stabilise the different components and avoid any possible breakages.
Once you have installed the hearth, check that all joints have been sealed in order to
prevent air seeping in, which would have a negative effect on the draw.
Before lining the hearth with bricks or any other material, make sure it works correctly.
When lighting the hearth for the first time, it is advisable to open the windows in order to
evacuate the fumes and smells that may be caused by the combustion of the solvents
used in the protective paint or of any other material.
Boiler: in the first on, is possible a slight wall deformation due to hydraulic tests during
the manufacturing process and quality control. These slight deformations do not affect
the boiler safety and quality.
