MAINTENANCE AND USE MANUAL
The equipment exterior can normally be kept clean just by wiping it with a dry cloth. If necessary,
wet the cloth just a little water or use a non-degreasing detergent.
The operator must ensure that the equipment is kept clean and free from any foreign bodies such as
dirt, water, non-conducting liquids etc.
The equipment must be cleaned at the end of every work session to remove all residues. Cleaning
must be done with the equipment at standstill and positioned in a stable manner.
Before cleaning the equipment exterior always turn the main switch to OFF. It is
strictly forbidden to clean the equipment while it is connected to the mains power
supply.
Never use inflammable, corrosive, alkaline or toxic liquids when cleaning the equipment.
Eye goggles and a face mask must be worn when using compressed air for cleaning
purposes. Do not allow any persons near the equipment as they could be hit by flying
dust.
To change the paper bag filter on the SAB 1000 aspirator (usually changed weekly) proceed as follows:
• switch off the aspirator at the main switch and disconnect it from the sandblasting machine;
• open the aspirator by acting on the clips (8) and remove the motor unit (1);
• remove the felt filter (10) and detach the aspiration pipe (6) from the coupling;
• remove the bag (9) by detaching the inlet from the bag coupling.
When carrying out this task proceed carefully so as to prevent dust entering the
interior of the aspirator: if dust does get in, clean thoroughly.
• Insert the new bag on the relative coupling via the inlet;
• reposition the felt motor protection filter (10) so that its edges rest on the aspirator body (5);
• place the motor unit (1) above the aspirator body (5), checking that the felt filter is in its seat on the
motor unit;
• close the aspirator by acting on the clips (8), previously positioned in their housings;
• re-insert the aspiration pipe (6) in the coupling;
• reconnect the plug (7) to the sandblasting unit socket, then switch on via the main switch (2).
