1. USE IN THE VEHICLE

Seat belt
The child seat must be used with a 3-point seat belt in combination with ISOFIX lower anchorages
provided they have been fitted to ECER16 or an equivalent standard. In no case should a 2-point seat
belt be used.
Only use with vehicles fitted with
• 3-point seatbelt. • DO NOT use with 2-point belt.

2.1 Adjusting the seating position of the car seat
The car seat can be used in different seating positions. Pull the recline handle,adjust the seat shell
forwards or backwards.
Release the handle in the required position and push until you hear a distinct click. (2-A)
2.2 Adjusting the headrest and 5-point harness.
A correctly adjusted headrest ensures optimal protection for your child in the safety seat.
The headrest must be adjusted so that the shoulder belts are at the same level as your child's
shoulders or slightly above. (2-B)
CAUTION! The shoulder belts must not be at the height of the child's back or at ear height or above
the ears.
The shoulder belts are adjusted as follows:
1. Loosen the 5-point harness of the child seat as much as possible by pressing the central adjuster
and pulling the shoulder belts as far as you can. Note! Do not pull the belt pads. (2-C)
2. Pull the shoulder belt height adjuster at the rear of the seat shell and tilt the shoulder belt height
adjuster towards you. (2-D)
3. Slide the shoulder belt height adjuster to select the correct height of the shoulder belts and set it
to the position that fits for your child by releasing the button. (2-E)

2.3 Adjusting the headrest

A correctly adjusted headrest ensures that the diagonal seat belt section is optimally positioned, and
gives your child maximum protection.
The headrest must be adjusted so that there is a space two fingers wide between the headrest and
your child's shoulders.
To adjust the height of the headrest to fit your child:
1. Take hold of the adjustment handle on the back of the headrest and pull it upwards . This unlocks
the headrest. (2-F)
2. You can now move the unlocked headrest to the desired height. As soon as you release the
adjustment handle, the headrest will lock into place. (2-G)
3. Place the child seat on the vehicle seat. Have your child sit in the child seat and check the height.
Repeat this process until the headrest is at the right height. (2-H)
3. SECURING YOUR CHILD WITH 5-POINT HARNESS

1. Press the central adjuster and at the same time pull both shoulder belts forwards. Do not pull on
the shoulder pads. (3-A)
2. Open the harness buckle (press red button), and put the shoulder belts to the sides. (5-B) and
(3-C)
3. Have your child sit in the child seat. Clip the two buckle latches together before fastening them
into the harness buckle with an audible 'click'. (3-D)
4. Pull on the adjusting strap until the harness lies flat and is close against your child's body. The
tighter the harness, the safer the child; However, for your child's comfort, always check you can insert
a finger (Max 1cm) between the harness and your child's body. (3-E)
Caution! The lap belt must lie as low as possible over your child's hips.
Caution! Do not twist or interchange the shoulder straps.

4. INSTALLATION IN THE VEHICLE

4.1 Installation of Group 1. For children weighing between 9-18kg.
Check: Pull forwards on the harness of the child seat. The child seat must not move at all or only slightly.
To secure the child seat using the 3-point belt of your vehicle proceed as follows:
1. Turn the child seat away from the vehicle seat slightly. Bring together about 80 cm of the
diagonal seat belt section and the lap belt section. (4-A)
2. Guide both the diagonal and lap section of safety belt through the belt loops on the seat shell, and
buckle up. You will hear an audible CLICK! Let the retractor take up the slack. (4-B) and (4-C)
Note Make sure the both belts go around over the seat, not over the extended piece of
headrest.
3. Secure your child with 5-point harness. (4-D)
Caution! Make sure that the vehicle seat belt is not twisted, and the child seat is securely
fastened. If it is not, tighten the vehicle seat belt again.
