Figure 5 – Cleaning Sink Drain By Removing P-trap
2. Place the AUTOFEED™ close to the drain pipe that
is coming out of the wall and follow the operating in-
structions. (Figure 5)
NOTE! For optimal performance, it is suggested to follow
the instructions listed above. However, it is pos-
sible to go directly through the drain in the sink. In
this situation, the cable will need to maneuver
through the P-trap. Expect some resistance while
the cable travels through the P-trap.

Drain Cleaning Machine
Operating Instructions
Never grasp a rotating cable with a rag or loose fit-
ting cloth glove which may become wrapped around
the cable causing serious injury.
Always wear eye protection to protect your eyes
against dirt and other foreign objects. Wear rubber
soled, non-slip shoes.
Be very careful when cleaning drains where clean-
ing compounds have been used. Avoid direct con-
tact to the skin and especially the eyes and facial
area as serious burns can result. Rinse hands thor-
oughly after contact with chemical compounds.
1. Place ON/OFF/REV switch into the ON position.
Keep the AUTOFEED™ close to the drain opening,
approximately 2" - 6". Exposing too much cable be-
tween the outside of the drain and the AUTOFEED™
could cause the cable to kink or tangle. (Figure 7)
2. Start the motor by depressing the foot pedal.
3. Press the FORWARD AUTOFEED™ lever and feed
cable into the drain. Be sure the AUTOFEED™ is
feeding the cable out of the machine.

NOTE! Know how long your run of pipe is prior to clean-
ing. Feeding too much cable into a drain can
damage your equipment.
4. When you reach an obstruction with the cable, you
should feel resistance. Continue to feed the cable into
the drain.
5. If cable begins to bind up or if the guide hose begins to
twist, release the FORWARD AUTOFEED™ lever
