Safety instructions / Assembly
•
Check whether the cable entry points
are ok. Damaged or not properly
installed cables can cause an electric
shock.
•
Only use hand-brushes, brushes,
rubber wipers, chip hooks or similar
aids to remove the drilling chips. Metal
chips are sharp-edged and can injure
you.
•
Do not clean or lubricate the machine
when it is running.
Moving parts can injure you.
•
Always keep the V-belt covered
(protection against reaching in).
•
Only tighten the toothed ring drill chuck
with the supplied toothed ring key. You
can only clamp the drill safely with the
toothed ring key.
Moving parts can injure you.
•
Never leave the toothed ring key in the
drill chuck! Before turning the machine
on make sure that the key has been
removed! The toothed ring key could
be hurled out of the device and injure
you or damage the drilling machine.
•
Do not use drills with a damaged
shank. Damaged drills cannot be
clamped centrically and damage the
work piece.
•
The drilling machine is not suitable for
milling work! Milling requires a higher
output and a special device.
•
A damaged connection lead may only
be replaced by an identical special
lead. Otherwise, there is the risk of fire
or of an electric shock.
Switch the machine off immediately
and pull the power plug in the following
cases:
•
Malfunction of or damage to the power
plug or power supply lead. Risk of
electric shock!
•
Defective switch. Risk of electric
shock!

•
Smoke or smell (e.g. scorched
insulation). Risk of electric shock!
Electrical system
The machine is equipped with an electrical
system, which corresponds to standards.
Only allow a certified specialist to repair
the machine.
The reversing contactors are
released, if the voltage drops in
the control circuit. The machine
does not start up automatically for
safety reasons, even if the power
is turned on again. It must be
switched on again.
Electrical safety
Always check whether the mains voltage
corresponds to the voltage indicated on
the rating plate.
Replacing cables or plugs
Dispose old cables or plugs immediately
after replacing them by new ones.
Connecting the plug of a loose cable to a
power socket is dangerous.
Using extension cables
Only use a suitable, certified and
accordingly marked extension cable,
which corresponds to the machine rating.
The cores must have a minimum cross
section of 1.5mm
. If the cable is on a reel,
2
then it must be fully unwound.
