Troubleshooting

Solution
• Check the spark. Remove the motor cover. Remove the spark plug from
the cylinder. Connect the spark plug cable and set it onto the motor
cylinder with the metallic side touching the cylinder. Pull the starter and
watch the spark in the spark plug electrode. If there is no spark, repeat the
test with a new spark plug.
• Press the primer bulb until the fuel is visible in the bulb. If the fuel is not
visible, it means that the fuel primary supply system is blocked. Contact a
Authorized Service Center. If the starter choke is filled
with fuel, it means the motor is flooded.
• With the switches in the OFF position, remove the spark plug. Set the
choke lever in the "| | Run" position and pull the jack-line 15 to 2o times
to eliminate the excessive fuel from the motor. Clean the spark plug and
set it back. Follow the normal start up procedure (see page 8). If the
motor is not starting, set the choke lever in the "| | Start" position and
repeat the starting procedure. If the motor is still not starting, repeat the
procedure with a new spark plug.
