Operating instructions
Fingerprint scanner and code keypad
1 Finger guidance
A large fingerprint area is required in order to effectively identify it. The finger should therefore be as flat
as possible when dragged over the sensor.
2 Operation of fingerprint scanner
Function
Teaching in the
master finger
Teaching in user
finger
Identification
Delete all fingers
(reset)
Unblocking the
terminal
2.1 Behaviour during door opening (door installation version only)
If the door is open for longer than 12 s, the sensor module is switched off. When switched off for short
periods, the fingerprint sensor can reach its optimum operating temperature within 3 to 5 seconds. If
the door has been open continuously for more than 10 minutes, it takes 15 to 20 seconds until the fin-
gerprint scanner sensor reaches its ideal operating temperature. In this warm-up phase, the finger
may not be detected (indicated by red LED). In this case, drag your finger across the sensor again.
The code keypad does not require time to warm up after it has been switched off.
The saved fingerprints or user codes for opening the door (templates) are retained in the event of a
power failure.
