Safety instructions

Read and retain these instructions for use.
To reduce the risk of an electrical discharge, injuries and fire when using electrical tools, observe
the following fundamental safety measures.

General safety instructions

Safety instructions relative to the electrical machine
− Check the voltage indicated on the plate.
− Do no overload your tool. You will work better and more safely in the indicated power ranges.

Choice of tool

− Use the appropriate tool. Do not use tools or adaptable devices of too low a power rating to
undertake heavy work. Do not use tools for other purposes than the work for which they have
been designed.
− Disconnect the plug from the socket: if unused, before undertaking a service or when
changing accessories, for example blades or bits.
− Do not damage the supply cable. Do not carry the tool by the cable, do not pull the cable to
disconnect the plug from the socket, and keep the cable away from heat, oil and sharp edges.
− Fix the piece well. Use a clamping device or a vice to fix the piece; by this mean it will be held
more safely than with your hand and you will have both hands free to control the tool.
− Avoid all unintended starts. Do not carry the tool with a finger on the button while it is
connected to the power supply.
− Extension cable for outside work. Outside, use only approved extension cables with the
corresponding marking.

Maintenance and storage

− Store your tools in a safe place. Unused tools must be stored in a dry, locked place, out of
reach of children.
− Maintain your tools carefully. Keep your tools sharp and clean to work better and more safely.
Follow maintenance instructions and indications concerning changing accessories. Regularly
check the state of the plug and the power cable, and if damaged have them changed by a
qualified technician. Check the extension cable regularly and replace it if it is damaged. Keep
handles dry and free of oil and lubricants.
− Check whether your tool is damaged. Before using the tool, always carefully check that parts
are functioning perfectly. Check whether moving parts are functioning correctly, whether they
do not become stuck or if other parts are damaged. All the components must be assembled
correctly and satisfy conditions to guarantee the tool's perfect operation. Every safety device,
every switch and every other damaged or defective part must be repaired or replaced
appropriately by a qualified technician. Do not use any tool on which the switch cannot either
open or close the circuit correctly.
− Caution! Ensure that you use the tool and its accessories in accordance with the safety
instructions. Also understand the tool's possibilities by paying attention to the working
conditions and the task to be undertaken. Using the tool for tasks other than those intended
may be dangerous.
− Have your tool repaired by a qualified technician. This tool satisfies safety rules in force. All
repairs must be undertaken by qualified professionals with original spare parts; if not, the tool
may pose a danger for the user.
