Installation guide
3.5.1 Installing accessories on a wall/ceiling/awning casing
1) Drill two holes 6 mm in diameter, spaced approximately 30 cm apart, to
affix the Heating Modulis RTS Ramp (a).
2) Insert the plugs (f) in the holes, using a hammer if necessary.
3) Press the support brackets (b) against the wall over the holes and fix
in place using the screws (g).
- If installing accessories onto the awning casing, fix the support brac-
kets on directly (b) using an M5 nut and bolt (not supplied).
Caution! The nut and bolt must not come into contact with the awning fabric. Risk of tearing.
3.5.2 Installing accessories on the Heating Modulis RTS Ramp
1) Remove the cover from the Heating Modulis RTS Ramp on the side
with the "Somfy" logo (a) using a 2 mm Allen key (not supplied).
2) Slide the "T" supports (d) along the chosen groove on the back of the
Heating Modulis RTS Ramp (a).
3) Close the cover of the Heating Modulis RTS Ramp again using a
2 mm Allen key (not supplied).
4) Screw the pivoting joints (c) into the threads of the "T" supports (d).
Caution! Do not fully tighten the pivoting joints (c) onto the "T"
supports (b) in order to allow them to slide along the groove.
3.5.3 Mounting the Heating Modulis RTS Ramp
1) Slide the assembly comprising the "T" supports (d) and the pivoting
joints (c) along the groove until they line up with the support brackets
(b) previously fitted
2) Fully tighten the pivoting joints (c) onto the "T" supports (d) on the
Heating Modulis RTS Ramp (a)
Caution! Ensure that the Heating Modulis RTS Ramp can still be incli-
ned once installed.
3) Lock the pivoting joints in place (c) using the flat spanner (k) (not
supplied) and tighten the screws (h) using the Allen key (e).
4) Insert the upper section of the pivoting joints (c) into the support brac-
kets (b) and use an Allen key (e) to fix the pivoting joints (c) to the
support brackets (b) with the screws (h).
3.5.4 Mounting the Heating Modulis RTS Ramp with an awning
- When fitting the equipment to an awning, the mounting systems
[support brackets (b), pivoting joints (c) and "T" supports (d)] must be
replaced by direct mounting systems (m). These systems supplied by
Somfy are fixed directly onto the awning's square bar (up to 40 mm).
