Installing the Software on a PC

You must install the MouseWare software to use all the features of your Logitech
wheel mouse, and your PC must have either a PS/2 or USB port.
Note that you must run Windows
It is also a good idea to have the Windows 98 software CD handy during the installation
of your wheel mouse in case you are prompted to insert the Windows 98 software CD
into your CD-ROM drive.
1. Start Windows, then insert the software CD into the CD-ROM drive.
2. For Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows NT 4.0, choose the option
to install MouseWare.
For Windows 3.1x, open the File menu, then choose the Run command.
Windows displays the Run Dialog Box. In the Command Line text box, type D:\SETUP
(where D: is the designation of your CD-ROM drive), then click OK . The Installation
Dialog Box is displayed. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Connecting the Wheel Mouse to a PC

Install the MouseWare software first. Note that the mouse connects to either a PS/2
mouse port or a USB port.
1. For a PS/2 mouse port installation, turn off the computer.
2. Connect the mouse cable to the PS/2 mouse port on the computer.
For USB-port installation, remove the PS/2 adaptor before connecting the mouse
cable to the computer's USB port. After connecting the mouse to the USB port,
the computer may prompt you to insert the software CD. Insert the CD software disk
into your CD-ROM drive, then follow the on-screen instructions.
3. For a PS/2 mouse port installation, turn on the computer.
