DOBISS Manual (Home Automation): DUOX VEO XS
AMBIANCE MONITOR
INSTALLATION
WIRING & CONNECTION
PREREQUISITES:
1x 120 resistor (supplied with VEO XS Ambiance wall plate connector)
1x FTP to RJ12 adapter module (not supplied)
1x RJ12 patch cable (not supplied)
1x CAT-5 FTP cable
STEPS:
1. Identify the fi rst or last DOBISS module (DIP switch Bus termination = "ON") in your installation
and set its DIP switch to "OFF".
2. Connect the FTP to RJ12 adapter module to this DOBISS module using a RJ12 patch cable.
3. Connect the FTP to RJ12 adapter module to the VEO XS Ambiance monitor connector using
a CAT-5 FTP cable as follows:
* GREEN/WHITE to 'CH'
* GREEN to 'CL'
* BROWN/WHITE to 'M'
4. Connect the 120Ω resistor between 'CH' and 'CL' on the VEO XS Ambiance monitor
connector, (it is recommended to twist wires and resistor). In case more than one VEO XS
Ambiance monitor will exist in the same installation please connect the resistor only on the
furthest (last) monitor.
Note: If you are NOT connecting the VEO XS Ambiance monitor to DOBISS equipment, you need to connect the
120Ω resistor between 'M' and 'CL' on the monitor plug.
