4. INSTALLATION
WARNING! Observe the general warnings and safety instructions listed in the previous
paragraphs and strictly adhere to the indications therein contained.
4.1 Location of the appliance
WARNING! Prior to start any installation activities, ensure that the location where the water heater is to be
installed satisfies the following requirements:
a)
In the event of installation without an air canalization, the room of installation should have a volume of no
less than 20 m
appliance that requires air to function (e.g. an open-chamber gas boiler, open-chamber gas water heater,
etc.). Install in a place where noise and exhaust air will not cause trouble
b)
The appliance's air exhaust and/or extraction duct (if present) must have access to the outside from the
point where the appliance is installed. The connections for the air exhaust and aspiration ducts are
located on the rear part of the appliance
c)
Establish the most suitable position on the wall, allowing enough room to easily perform any maintenance
d)
Make sure the space is suitable to house the product and air connections (see section 4.2), also
considering the hydraulic safety devices, the electrical and hydraulic connections
e)
Verify that in the installation place is possible to provide a connection for the security group siphon, wich
is to be connected with the condensate water drain (see section 4.5)
f)
Avoid installing the appliance in rooms which may favour frost build-up. The product is designed for
indoor installations, the product's safety and performance levels are not guaranteed in the event of
outdoor installation
g)
Ensure that the installation site and the electrical and hydraulic systems to which the appliance must be
connected fully comply with the regulations in force
h)
The chosen site must have, or must be suitable to house, a single-phase 220-230 V ~ 50 Hz power
supply socket
i)
The support surface must ensure a perfectly vertical operating position, and can withstand the weight of
the water heater filled with water
j)
The chosen site must conform to the appliance's IP protection rating (protection against the penetration of
liquids) as specified by the regulations in force
k)
The appliance must not be exposed to direct sunlight, even when windows are present
l)
The appliance must not be exposed to particularly aggressive substances such as acidic vapours, dust or
gas-filled environments
m)
The appliance must not be directly installed on lines that are unprotected against overvoltage
n)
The appliance must be installed as close as possible to the points of use to limit heat dispersion along the
piping
Indoor unit installation sequence:
a)
Remove the packaging from the product
b)
Fix the product to the wall: the water heater is equipped with a wall bracket with complete fastening system,
properly sized and suitable for the weight of the product full of water. To fix the bracket, use the pads,
rawplugs and screws included. Be careful of pipes and cables hidden in the wall. To facilitate the correct
positioning of the product, refer to the installation template printed on the carton box packaging. (fig. 5)
c)
Ensure that the product is perfectly vertical by adjusting the feet on the spacer and verify with a level (fig. 6)
d)
Make the air connections (see section 4.2)
e)
Make the electrical connection (see section 4.3)
f)
Place an hydraulic safety device on the cold water inlet pipe
g)
Connect the siphon to the discharge, connect the condensate water to the security group siphon
h)
Make the hydraulic connections (see section 4.4)
