CAUTION
The vacuum pump of the station is supplied without oil. Before using it, you must fill the oil reservoir up to the mid-
dle of the sight glass of the pump. Do it slowly to avoid to spilling of oil. The "OIL" cap is on the top of the vacuum
pump. See the "WARNINGS" red card attached to the pump.
All the operations must begin with all the manifolds and valves of the station closed. Use only the manifolds of the
station indicated for refrigerant gas you are going to use.
On the last page you will find the charging cylinders user manual. Please read it carefully.
VACUUM OPERATION OF THE CHARGING CYLINDER
(DRAWING 1)
This operation must be done the first time the station is used or whenever there could be humidity inside the charg-
ing cylinder.
Making vacuum in the charging cylinder not only eliminates the harmful humidity but also makes it possible to
charge refrigerant in the charging cylinder from the cylinder (bottle) containing gas. We recommend making the
vacuum every time the charging cylinder is completely emptied.
1. Plug the vacuum pump (220 V / 50 Hz).
2. With all the valves closed, open the VAC, REF, and the charging cylinder valves.
3. Switch on the vacuum pump.
4. After 1 or 2 minutes working, open the purge valve. Once purged close the valve.
5. Keep the pump working for about 10-15 minutes. This is generally enough time to make a deep vacuum in the
cylinder.
6.
Finally, close all the valves and switch off the pump.
CHARGING THE CHARGING CYLINDER
(DRAWING 2)
1. With all the manifolds and valves of the station closed, open the REF and HIGH valves and after that, open the
valve of the bottle containing gas slowly. If it is possible, fill the charging cylinder in liquid phase, it will be
faster.
2. When the liquid refrigerant reaches the necessary level, close the storage and charging cylinders valves.
3. When you have reached the desired level of refrigerant gas, close the valve of the bottle and the charging cyl-
inder. If the Charging cylinder does not have an incorporated valve, close the REF and HIGH valves. After tak-
ing these precautions, you can now disconnect the bottle. The charging cylinder will hold the amount of gas to
be charged desired.
