2) MEASUREMENT OF THE TEMPERATURE OF LIQUIDS/
OBJECTS AND THE ENVIRONMENT
• The presence of the protective cap does not in any way af-
fect the measurement of the temperature of liquids, objects
or environments.
• Hold down the "
ment mode.
• When this mode is used, the range of measurement is diffe-
rent to that for body temperature measurements. In this case,
the range is 0 °C - 93.2 °C.
• Direct the thermometer at the object, liquid or environment
to be measured.
• Press the " " button for one second. Once the measurement
has been taken, a short tone will sound and the value measu-
red will appear on the display (Fig. 11).

Note: If the tone does not sound, the temperature measurement
has not yet been completed. Do not move the thermometer away
from the object, liquid or environment yet. (No tone will be heard
if the sound function has been disabled).

symbol is fixed, replace the batteries with batteries of the same
type.

2. Remove the exhausted batteries and dispose of them as in-
