Adjust geometry in format 2 (16:9)
Exit Service Mode
Only the adjustments mentioned have to be done.
- Switch the TV ON.
- Press the DISPLAY button for approx. 3 seconds.

- Press until FORMAT is displayed then press GO.
m
- Press to select FORMAT 2.
- Enter Service Mode and select the MONITOR line.
- Select the GEOMETRY ADJUSTMENTS line.
When selecting an adjustment item the picture must change to 16:9.
- Enter SETUP, select SERVICEMODE with STOP, STOP, GO. Press the button
combination within 3 seconds. Select MONITOR and select GEOMETRY ADJUSTMENTS.
When selecting a parameter, the picture should change to format 16:9.
- Select the parameter to change by means of m and p and press GO. Change
parameter by means of m and p. Change the settings by means of l and n.
Press GO to store the new settings.
Vertical Amplitude (V-AM)
- Adjust V-AM so that the picture fi ts at the top.
Vertical Slope (V-SL)
- Adjust V-SL until there is approx 10cm. from the bottom of the circle to the
bottom of the visible screen.
Horizontal Amplitude (H-AM)
- Adjust H-AM to the correct width of the picture.
Vertical SHift/centering (V-SH)
- Adjust V-SH until there is approx. 8mm. from the top of the circle to the top of the
visible screen.
East/West Parabola (EW-P)
- Adjust EW-P to the correct geometry at the sides. The middle part of the vertical
lines must be as straight as possible.
East/West Upper Corner (EWUC)
- Adjust EWUC to the correct geometry at the upper corners.
East/West Trapezium (EW-T)
- Adjust EW-T to the correct geometry.
Horizontal PArallelogram (H-PA)
- Adjust H-PA to the correct geometry.
Please note:
It may be necessary to repeat some of the adjustments.
