indicates that the bag is full. To change it,
proceed as follows:
1. Detach the hose from the air intake and
open the lid on the general compartment.
(Fig. 4).
2. Tilt the bag holder so that the bag can
be removed and close the bag by pulling
on the central flap. (Fig. 5).
3. To fit a new bag, fold the flap back (Fig.
6). Insert the bag into the bag holder fo-
llowing the direction of the guide arrow.
Make sure that it slots fully down into its
housing and that it fits correctly (Fig. 7).
4. Close the lid.
Important:
• The lid on the general compartment
cannot be closed if there is no bag fitted.
Do not force it shut, check that the bag is
fitted correctly.
• If after having changed the bag the suc-
tion is irregular and the bag full indicator
stays red, check that there is no blockage
in the hose, tube or air intake.
• Never use the vacuum cleaner without
a bag or try to empty a full bag and then
reuse it.
• To guarantee trouble free operation
only use original Ufesa bags and filters
which can be found at authorised esta-
blishments.

REPLACING THE FILTERS
It is advisable to replace these after chan-
ging the paper dust bags five times.
Motor protection filter: Open the general
compartment and remove the bag. Slide
the filter upward. (Fig. 8)
Fit a new filter and close the lid. Never
use the vacuum cleaner without this filter
fitted.
AIR OUTLET FILTER:
Designed for households that include
allergy sufferers, this vacuum cleaner has
been equipped with a HEPA filter. The
filter should be replaced each year. To
do this, open the main compartment,
take the filter out and put in a new one,
figure 10.
PARKING POSITION
This appliance has both a vertical and ho-
rizontal parking position, figures 10 & 11.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
The accessories and the vacuum may be
cleaned by using a damp cloth. Never im-
merse the appliance in water. Do not use
solvents or abrasive products to clean it.
ADVICE ON DISPOSAL:
Our goods come in optimised
packaging. This basically consists
in using non-contaminating materials whi-
ch should be handed over to the local
waste disposal service as secondary raw
materials.
This product complies with EU
Directive 2002/96/CE. The crossed
wheelie bin symbol shown on the
appliance indicates that when it
comes to dispose of the product it must
not be included in with household refuse.
It must be taken to a special refuse co-
llection point for electric and electronic
appliances or returned to the distributor
when purchasing a similar appliance.
Under current refuse disposal regulations,
users who fail to take discarded applian-
ces to special refuse collection points
may be penalised. Correct disposal of
discarded appliances means that they can
be recycled and processed ecologically,
helping the environment and allowing
materials used in the product to be reu-
sed. For more information on available
waste disposal schemes contact your lo-
cal refuse service or the shop where the
product was purchased. Manufacturers
and importers are responsible for ecolo-
gical recycling, processing and disposal
of products, whether directly or via a pu-
blic system.
Your local town council can provide you
with information about how to dispose of
obsolete appliances.
