Operating instructions
For your safety
Working safely with this machine is possible only when the operating and safety information are read completely
and the instructions contained therein are strictly followed.
Wear safety glasses, protective gloves and sturdy shoes.
The parts rubbed-off while working are detrimental to health. Wear a dust mask!
• When working with the machine, always hold it firmly with both hands and provide for a secure stance.
®
• Use only original MBX
belts approved for pneumatic machines.
• Before carrying out any work on the tool itself, during pauses in the work and when not in use, disconnect the air
supply.
• Do not use combustible gases or oxygen instead of pressurised air.
• When working on metal, flying sparks are produced. Take care that no persons are endangered. Because of the
danger of fire, no combustible materials should be located in the vicinity (spark flight zone).
• Pay attention to the direction of rotation. Always hold the machine so that sparks or dust fly away from the body.
• Do not drill into housing or attach rivets in order to mark the machine. The insulation is then no longer ensured.
Use stickers.
®
• Use only original MBX
parts and accessories.

Equipment protection
The maximum allowable operating pressure of 6.2 bar must not be exceeded. Use a pressure regulator, if
necessary.
To avoid damage from contaminated air, a maintenance unit must be used in the air supply system.
Fitting the working tool
Before carrying out any work on the tool itself, disconnect the air supply.
Pull off the outer adaptor system (10). Insert the belt (9) with the tips pointing in the direction of rotation, dismantle
screw (12) and washer (11). Place outer adaptor system (10). Ensure that the adaptor system (8), (10) engages with
the arms (7).
Mount the washer (11) and the screw (12) and tighten with the Allen key (13).
Initial operation
Connect the tool to a compressed air system with a maintenance unit (filter, regulator, oiler).
Continuously Variable Speed Control
®
MBX
Pneumatic runs with variable speed, depending on the pressure on the valve lever (3). Light pressure results
in a low speed and makes smooth, controlled starting possible. In this manner, the best speed can be selected for
each operation to be performed.
