Do not use damaged or worn drill bits/chisels
and always use the correct type of tool for
the job.
Use a wire and pipe detector to check for
concealed power cables, pipes, etc. in the
items or surfaces you are going to drill/

Make sure that the rotary hammer does not
damage any objects under or behind the
workpiece, e.g. when drilling in walls.
Always maintain a rm grip on both handles
when using the rotary hammer.
Avoid blocking the ventilation slots with your
hands.
Always wear protective glasses when using
the rotary hammer for chiselling or similar
tasks where chips, sparks and splinters can

Use hearing protectors and heavy-duty
gloves when using the rotary hammer.
Ensure the rotary hammer is completely

stopped before replacing the drill/chisel.

Never put the rotary hammer down if the
drill/chisel is still rotating.
Wait until the drill/chisel has stopped
completely before putting the hammer drill
down, and pull the plug out of the socket if it
is not to be used further.
Avoid touching the drill/chisel just after use,
as it may be very hot.
Drilling certain materials can produce
harmful dust. Always wear a mask.
