11.2 FIRMWARE UPDATE VIA USB
Located on the back of the display is a USB port that is used for firmware updates .
Once the appropriate firmware has been obtained, follow these steps to update the firmware via USB .
1. Load a USB drive (customer provided) with the appropriate files "93200001_R.ABS" and
"9320001_R.ABC". The file should be saved in the root directory of the USB drive, not in any sub-folders.
2 . Turn off power to the valve controller display .
3 . Gain access to the back of the display .
4 . Remove the two screws holding the cover over the USB port, as shown below . Set the screws and
cover aside to be reinstalled after firmware update is complete .
5 . Insert the USB flash drive containing the files into the USB port on the back of the display .
6 . Turn on power to the valve controller display .
7. The light on the USB drive (if equipped) should illuminate or flash while loading the new program file. The
update should be complete after approximately 30 seconds . Note that the light on the USB drive may or may
not turn off when the update is finished, so after 30 seconds, proceed to the next step . The display firmware
will be updated during this step .
8 . To update the motor driver, navigate to the setup menu, select OEM CONFIGURATION and then VALVE
DOWNLOAD . Press enter . Select YES to download the new file . The display will show download progress
and will prompt you to remove the USB stick when completed .
9 . Turn off power to the valve controller display .
10 . Remove the USB flash drive from the USB port .
11 . Replace the cover on the USB port using the USB cover screws .
12 . Turn on power to the system and test all functions to ensure proper operation .
11.3 FIRMWARE UPDATE VIA AKROVIEW
Refer to the AkroView Diagnostics Firmware Installation and Operations Manual for instructions on how to update the
firmware via AkroView .
12 TROUBLESHOOTING
The 9325 Navigator Pro has a diagnostics option in the menu that can assist in troubleshooting if problems occur . Refer
to Section 7 .4, DIAGNOSTICS earlier in the manual for additional information . Basic troubleshooting information is
shown below . If the diagnostics menu combined with the troubleshooting information below is not enough to resolve the
problem, contact Akron Brass Technical Support for further troubleshooting support .
