Stove for wood – version with hot-water distribution
This version enables the connection to the hot water system, or to the hot water tank. Both water pipes (hot and
cold) can be found on the rear part of the stove. The using of the stove for hot water is possible even without any
water connection as well. The installation must be carried out by the authorized company. The hot water system
operates with a circulation pump. Using a thermo-siphon principle is not possible. The water temperature
should be from 60 to 90°C, maximal pressure equals to 250 kPa. The discharging valve is situated in the bottom
part of the circulation system. In case of frost threat occurrence the water system must be drained or the
antifreeze liquid applied instead.
The very first operation commencement
Within the release into first operation the special paint appointed for the high temperature shall be burnt out.
We recommend the suitable ventilation within this period owing to moderate smoke production, which is quite
commonplace. The pregnant women and children within this stage should avoid staying near the stove space.
The stove starts the perfect operation until the pipes situated in the combustion chamber are covered with
ashes. To make the first lighting up easier, application of the old ashes from previous heating is advisable.
Making the fire
We start with a moderate fire made of newspaper or by means of solid firelighter and with small and dry wooden
chips situated in the middle of the furnace. Later more wood and bigger logs should be added. The procedure
like this secures the gradual dilating of the stove parts, which is the good presumption for longer operational life.
The stove doors shall be closed during the heating with exception of the wood stoke, or within the clean-up.
Applicable wood
The stove is designed for the raw wood combustion just like deciduous trees (oak tree, beech tree, hornbeam
and so on), but the coniferous one as well (firs, pines). The wood shall be well dry, drying for a period of two
years is advisable to reach the humidity below 20 per cent and the storage under the shed just after cutting is
useful (Note: ten kilograms of the freshly cut logs consists of five liters of water). Utilization of other combustible
than raw wood is excluded. Likewise the combustion of various kinds of materials and stuffs is prohibited.
Tend a fire
When a new batch of wood is inserted into stove, open both draft stoppers (front and the rear one) to secure
that the resting fume is drawn into fume ducting. For fifteen minutes open the door a little bit, to enable the
smoke remaining in the stove is drawn away and you can load the wood into stove. Then you may fully close the
door. Fill up the stove just up to the half volume of its maximal capacity.
Regulation
The stove for wood is equipped with two draw rods for stoppers.
 The front stopper provides the heating control. The more is front stopper closed, the more slowly is the
combustion and the temperature drops down. In the same time increases the sooting of the fume
ducting, because of the combustion poorer quality. This front stopper is operated as fully open, or partly
half-open. The full or almost full closing is not recommended. As a consequence the stove could become
sooted and consequently the chimney could become sooted as well, which means the higher danger of
fire inside the chimney.
 The rear stopper enables the possibility of the draft reduction when occurrence of the excessive draft is
found.
Ashes removal
The certain layer of ashes should be left in stove, which secures the optimal efficiency and protects the lower
part of the combustion chamber against high temperatures. As soon as the ashes layer reaches the door level, it
has to be partially removed. Wait, till the stove cools down because even after several hours the ashes still
should be very hot. We use a steel bucket and a steel blade. The bucket should be left three days at least staying
onto flameproof floor until the ashes is utterly cold. Under each ashes removal the stove interior clean-up
should be carried out, the ducting particularly by means of small non-metallic brush; it provides the better heat
exchange and this way the stove better efficiency as well.
