Start-up:
0,79
During any test operation, it is recommended to ap-
ply the supplied PTFE spray onto the inner side of the
separator, to avoid unnecessary wear and to reduce
energy consumption of the gear motor.
0,79
Prior to start-up, check:
•
that there are no foreign objects in the separator
housing or the associated duct system
0,73
•
that the direction of rotation of the separator's ro-
tor is correct (indicated by the arrow). The motor's
0,73
cooling fan and rotor axle in the motor side rotates
in a clockwise direction. See the rotor axle in oppo-
0,73
site side if in doubt
•
the oil level in the gear
0,73
•
that the vent plug is activated by removing the seal-
ing cord
•
that all parts including protective guards are se-
curely fastened
0,88
To remove the sealing cord from the gear vent plug:

Operation:
If the separator is clogged or need inspection, the two
0,74
inspection hatches on the upper part can be removed.
This is done by loosening the thumb screws, and slid-
ing the pawls towards the centre of the hatch, where
0,88
after the hatch can be lifted away. At installation of
the hatch, it is important to ensure, that the gaskets
and pawls are correctly seated before tightening the
0,88
thumb screws. In case the hatch does not seal correctly
against the upper part, there is risk of dust pile-up or
other contamination of the separator. On ATEX ver-
0,88
sions, always reinstall the grounding wires securely.
The upper part of the separator can be raised by loos-
0,74
ening/removing the tube connections on both sides of
the separator, and loosening the eye bolts. After this,
0,74
the upper part can be lifted by crane, using the lifting
eyes 1, see illustration. Finally, the upper part can be
secured with the arm 2, where the screw 3 is installed
0,74
with nut on the upper side of the plate. The separators
upper part is closed in reverse sequence.
