Operation programs
The operating modes active in the ecoSMART e-manager are reflected in the main screen and give a quick reading of the behavior
of the control at any time.
SURPLUS CONTROL Mode
The control will regulate the consumption of the heat pump if the comfort conditions are fulfilled to take
advantage of the electric surplus.
CONSUMPTION CONTROL Mode
The control will regulate the consumption of the heat pump to adjust the total consumption of the installation to
the maximum limit set by the installer.
TARIFF CONTROL Mode
We can set up schedules for peak or valley tariff periods, both in winter and summer, so that, depending on the
service covered by the heat pump, we can reduce consumption in the hours where electricity is more expensive
and take advantage of periods where electricity is cheaper, this means a great saving in your annual bill. There
are four possible states for tariff control.
-Tariff 1: Peak period in winter months.
-Tariff 2: Valley period in winter months.
-Tariff 3: Peak period in summer months.
-Tariff 4: Valley period in summer months.
The controller considers the winter period from December 21 to June 21, and the summer period the remaining
months of the year.Depending on the current active rate and according to the tariff period, the icon with the
corresponding tariff number is displayed on the screen.
"SMART GRID" Modes
It is possible to activate the SG states of the e-manager for the external control of the device. Depending on the
value of the digital inputs, we distinguish four operating states SG:
-SG1 [0 0](Normal status): Both the e-manager and the heat pump operate normally according to their
configuration.
-SG2 [0 1](Reduced tariff): We are in a reduced tariff period, so we will take advantage of the lower price of
electricity to change heat pump setpoints and produce more heat and cold.
-SG3 [1 0](Locked status): The e-manager sends a compressor lock signal to the heat pump, but production
surpluses can still be used by activating or deactivating the non-critical loads configured.
-SG4 [1 1](Forced status): There is overload in the grid. The e-manager will force the maximum possible
consumption in the installation to help balance the grid.
These external signals can be sent by the electric company itself to try to keep the distribution network balanced
at any time.
