3.7 Placing brackets - indirect bonding
After applying the adhesive, place the transfer tray with the equilibrium
brackets as usual in the mandible and/or maxilla.
Completely remove any excess adhesive before it has cured. This is
particularly important to ensure easy debonding at the end of treatment.
3.8 Ligating archwires
Once the adhesive has cured (observe adhesive hardening times in the
manufacturer's instructions for use), ligate as usual with wire or plastic
ligatures.
We recommend using rematitan
beginning of treatment.
3.9 Debonding brackets
The excellent bonding properties of equilibrium
special attention during debonding:
For the debonding of equilibrium
Weingart pliers (e.g. REF 003-120-00). Grasp the bracket mesio-distally
by the wings and carefully remove the equilibrium
tooth by pressing the pliers together and bending the bracket base
away from the tooth. If necessary, turn the bracket briefly to the right
or the left, without pulling, to remove it from the tooth.
