5. USING THE LEG EXTENSION (Fig. 4)
The leg extension assists angle
measurement when the geometry of the
surfaces that form the angle are such
that the folding leg cannot contact one of
the surfaces.
a. Attach the leg extension: Slide the
leg extension from the end onto
the folding leg.
b. Extend the leg extension as far
as necessary over the joint of the Digital Angle Finder.
For the measurement, the interior angle α is displayed. (Fig.4) The angle β to be
measured can be calculated as: β= 180°-α.
