6. DETERMINING THE MITER AND
BEVEL ANGLES FOR CUTTING
CROWN MOLDING
The Digital Angle Finder can
automatically calculate the exact
miter-angle and bevel-angle cut
settings for precise crown molding cuts,
based on "SPR" and "CNR" information.
Determine, save, and enter the spring
angle (SPR)
a. Tack the crown molding to the
corner of a table with the surface
that will come in contact with the
wall postioned flat on the table, as
shown in Fig. 5.
b. Press the power button to turn on
the tool.
c. Place the folding leg flat against
the underside of the table, parallel
to the front edge of the table, and
the base leg flat against the back
side of the crown molding (Fig. 5);
the supplementary angle of the
spring angle will show on the LCD
display (Fig. 6).
d. Press the "MTR/BVL" button: the
spring angle is automatically
computed and displayed for 3
seconds. "SPR" will also show in
the display (Fig. 7).
