When you receive delivery of the device, the extension pole and handle are not yet assembled. To
assemble, proceed as follows:
1. Slide the extension pole into the fastening ring at the end of the device. Align the arrow mark on the
extension pole with the „open lock" symbol on the fastening ring.
2. Push the extension pole into the fastening ring until the pole is in place.
3. Now turn the bar anti-clockwise until the arrow mark on the handle aligns with the „closed lock"
symbol on the fastening ring.
MOUNTING THE GUIDE WHEELS (#4)
1. Unscrew the holder for the guide wheels so that you can easily insert the wheels onto the guide rail at
the rear of the device.
2. Place the holder in the guide rail and slide the holder down towards the nozzle. Make sure that the cable
points towards the handle and lies behind the guide wheel holder.
3. Now tighten the holder using the side wheel.
4. SELECTING THE POSITION: You can choose between 3 positions. The guide wheels can click into 3
different pre-set positions, and can be fixed using the side wheel.

Switching on:
1. Point the hot air nozzle with the desired attachment away from the body.
2. Slide the on/off switch into the desired position. You can choose between 2 settings:
- Position I - 60°C (cooling)
- Position II - 650°C (weed killing, paint removal, grill lighter - nozzle optionally available)
The air volume in both positions is 500l/min.
CHANGING ATTACHMENTS (#5)
DEVICE MUST BE SWITCHED OFF, DISCONNECTED FROM THE MAINS, AND COOLED!
1. There are 2 dot markings on the left and right of both attachments.
2. Align these with the guide rail on the hot air nozzle.
3. Slide the attachment into the guide and lock the attachment in an anti-clockwise direction. Make sure
that the attachment is securely locked in place.
CLEAR WEEDS (LEVEL 2) - CONE NOZZLE or CREVICE NOZZLE
1. Slide the On/Off switch to position II. Allow the device to heat up for approx. 45 seconds. Make sure that
you do not allow the nozzle to rest on sensitive surfaces such as wood, as this could lead to scorch marks.
2. Hold the conical or crevice nozzle over the weeds for at least 5 seconds. In the case of stronger weeds
or plants with thick, deep roots (e.g. dandelions) increase the duration of application. During this
process, the cell structure of the weeds is destroyed. This usually kills the weeds within 24 hours. It
is not necessary to completely burn the weeds. A few seconds are sufficient - even if the visible part
of the weed still appears green, this is completely normal and does not represent a shortcoming. The
effect will be visible in the next few hours.
3. For efficient treatment, the nozzle should be max. 3 cm above the weeds. Never place the conical or
crevice nozzle directly on the floor, this could lead to a build-up of heat and damage to the device!
NOTES & TIPS:
• The thicker the root, the longer you should hold the device over the plant in order to achieve the lasting effect
of permanent weed removal. For weeds with particularly thick and/or deep roots (e.g. dandelions) it may be
necessary to repeat the treatment several times at intervals of 1-2 weeks.
• Overly moist soil or damp roots can reduce the effectiveness of the device. In such a case, repeat the treatment in
drier conditions if necessary. Therefore, never use the device immediately after it has rained, as this could impair
the desired effect.
Cooling down and switching off the device:
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT! First slide the On/Off switch to the "I" position for at least 1 minute (capital
letters and bold). Only after this should you set to position "0" to switch off the device. Now fold in the
guide wheels and the stand (metal bracket on the front underside of the device) and lay down the device so
that the front part of the device rests on the stand.
If you use the device as a hand-held device - i.e. without the handle and wheels - fold out the stand (metal
bracket on the front underside of the device), lay the device on it, and allow the device to cool down. Make
sure that you do not allow hot parts of the device to rest on sensitive surfaces such as wood, as this could
lead to scorch marks.
LIGHTING A GRILL (LEVEL 2) - Grill lighter nozzle (available as an option - information on the package)
1. The grill lighter nozzle is intended for lighting your grill or fireplace. Attach the grill lighter nozzle as
described under "Exchanging the attachment".
2. Slide the On/Off switch to the 2nd position. Allow the device to heat up for approx. 45 seconds.
3. Place the nozzle under the coal or wood. Make sure that the plastic casing of the device is not exposed
to direct heat!
4. Remove the device from the coals or wood as soon as they start to glow.
5. Now direct the nozzle at the coals or wood from a distance of approx. 10-20 cm, until the coal or wood
has reached the desired temperature.
6. This will prevent the nozzle from being exposed to excessive temperatures in the coals, and being
damaged. It also prevents the casing from deforming as a result of the temperature.
7. Turn off the device before removing it from fire.
RISK OF JAMMING DUE TO OVERHEATING - Only ever use the optionally
available grill lighter nozzle for briefly lighting an outdoor grill or fireplace.
This nozzle is not suitable for removing weeds in narrow spaces (e.g.
crevices). There is a risk of heat build-up as a result of prolonged use,
which can lead to damage to the device!
SWITCHING OFF THE DEVICE: Slide the on/off switch to position 0.
COOLING & SAFE STORAGE
Before the device is completely switched off, it must be cooled down. Slide the on/off switch to position „I"
for at least one minute. After this, the device can be switched off. The device can be placed on the stand
while it cools down. Never leave the device unattended.
Make sure that the device has cooled down completely before storage.
CLEANING AND CARE
WARNING! Before carrying out any cleaning work, remove the plug from the mains, and ensure
that the device has cooled down completely.
Keep the safety devices, ventilation openings and the motor housing free of dust and dirt. Wipe the device
with a clean cloth, or blow it clean with low-pressure compressed air. We recommend cleaning the device
after each use.
Clean the device regularly with a damp cloth and some mild detergent. Do not use aggressive cleaning
agents or solvents - these can damage the plastic parts of the device. Make sure that no water enters the
device.
