USER'S MANUAL
1. general Description
Your car is fitted with an original protection system against intrusion attempts. It is controlled via a remote control/
badge/ hands-free badge.
Once the car locked, the alarm system protects it against roof, door or trunk opening (perimeter protection), intru-
sion into passenger compartment (volumetric protection), towing (optional anti-lift protective device is required) and
battery cut-off.
The alarm triggers whenever any of the aforementioned events occurs. The buzzer sounds for 28 seconds, followed
by a 5 seconds pause, while indicator lights flash for as long as the alarm sounds. If such event continues or reoccurs,
the alarm will sound 10 times at the most for the same trigger.
The buzzer may be turned off at any time if an unlocking command is launched or ignition is turned on with the
original car key.
2. System Arming
a. Regular Arming
When you lock your car, the alarm system is armed and indicator lights flash twice. All protection system sensors are
activated after 25 seconds. Windows and sunshine roof must be closed in order to avoid nuisance alarms.
The security system will not be armed after a locking command is given if any door or the trunk is open and the
ignition is ON, a badge is inserted into the reader or the hands-free badge is inside the passenger compartment.
b. Arming without volumetric protection
When volumetric protection must be disengaged (you want windows and/or sunroof to be open, to leave your pet
in the car, the storms begins or you wash your car, etc), you can achieve this switching ignition to ON twice or/and
by locking the vehicle within no more than 50 seconds. The buzzer signals with 3 short beeps that the system is
armed without volumetric protection. If the alarm system is fitted with an optional anti-lift sensor and a command is
launched for system arming without volumetric protection, this sensor WILL NOT TURN OFF.

NOTE: According to the type of vehicle, the volumetric protection may be shut off by a LONG push of the locking key on the
original remote control .
c. Arming with anti-lift sensor exclusion
The alarm may be armed without the extra protection secured by the anti-lift sensor. This mode may be activated by
turning the ignition ON three times followed by car locking within no more than 50 seconds. The buzzer shall signal
system arming without anti-lift sensor activation will be signalled by 4 short beeps.

d. Arming with exclusion of both volumetric protection and anti-lift sensor
The alarm system may be armed with volumetric protection only. This mode may be activated by turning the ignition
ON four times followed by car locking within no more than 50 seconds. The buzzer shall signal system arming without
volumetric protection and anti-lift sensor activation will be signalled by 5 short beeps.

NOTE: arming without volumetric protection and/or anti-lift sensor remains active until the system is disarmed
3. Security system disarming
The security system is disarmed and indicator lights flash once if the car is validly unlocked (using the original car key).
If the alarm is triggered, 4 short beeps shall be heard on system disarming to warn the user of a trigger event.

4. Emergency disarm feature
When the remote control / badge / hands-free badge does not work (exhausted battery, area exposed to high-pitch
noise), the system may be urgently disarmed as follows: unlock the vehicle with the key; open the door (the buzzer
x3
will sound); turn the ignition ON (with the key or by inserting the badge into the reader and pushing the button). The
alarm stops signalling and the buzzer sends out 4 short beeps.
5. Arming diagnostics
The security system has user bypass notification functions::
n When the hood is open on locking, the system sends out 3 long sounds separated by 1 second pause. Close the
hood and the protection system will automatically switch engine hood monitoring on. Therefore, any subsequent
attempt to open the hood will activate the security system.
n Once armed, the system controls the communications with the sensors module. If no such communication is pos-
sible, the system sends out 2 long beeps separated by 1 second pause. If this should happen, contact your local Renault
service centre for repairs..
Example: If the hood of your car is open at the time the command for arming without volumetric protection is launched,
the security system warns the user through 3 short beeps (arming without volumetric protection) followed,
after a 3 seconds pause, by 3 long beeps to draw the attention on the open hood..
