This power tool has an electronic overload protection system that is activated in the
event of a locking. If you notice that the system has been triggered, shut off the machine
by the trigger, correct the working conditions and switch it back on. Although this
system has protection, it is only activated with a full lock and the constant drive tends to
degrade the machine. Avoid exposing the equipment to such situations repeatedly.
3.6. Important considerations before charging and using the battery
PECOL batteries use state-of-the-art technology for storage with lithium-ion (Li-ion)
batteries, allowing a high accumulated energy density and reducing memory effect. They
are equipped with electronic control and protection cell circuits, to ensure a longer life
and better use of stored energy.
Take into account the following recommendations:
• Use only PECOL batteries, chargers, and power tools together. Do not combine or try
to adapt to the conjugated use with equipment of other brands.
• Do not use the batteries for different applications from which this machine was
designed.
• During charging, it is normal for the charger to become hot.
• Charge the batteries only in closed places without moisture and excessive dust.
• The charge of the battery occurs by an electrochemical reaction influenced by
temperature. For this reason, the battery charge time will vary depending on the
ambient temperature and the number of cycles already performed.
• Use a temperature controlled room always between 5°C and 40°C for battery
charging.
• For battery use, the ambient temperature should be above 5° and below 40°C. Use
outside this range tends to degrade the battery and reduce its life.
• Never expose the battery to temperatures above 80°C.
• If during charging, the battery is overcharged or overheated (above 50°C), remove
from the charger and wait a few minutes.
• Do not put a battery that is already fully charged to charge again. Overcharging may
damage the battery.
• If successive charges are required, disconnect the charger from the outlet for
approximately 15 minutes so that the charger can cool down.
• After finishing the battery charging, disconnect the charger from the power source.
• If the battery shows signs of malfunction, refer to PECOL Technical Assistance Service
or for proper recycling if not recoverable (see page 71)
In the event of smoke or fire appearing on the charger, disconnect the mains plug
immediately.

Charging the battery
1. Plug the charger into the power outlet. Wait until the green light is on.
2. Make sure the connectors are clean and free of any foreign objects.
3. Plug the battery into the charger, pushing it all the way to the end.
Make sure that the
ventilation grids are
unobstructed before
charging.
