6.2 Tungsten electrode
6.3 Connecting the TIG welding torch
6.4 Setting the shielding gas quantity
6.5 Connecting the coolant
3 Hold tungsten electrode (2) and gas diffuser (2) and screw on
guide tube (4) but do not tighten.
4 Set tungsten electrode (2) to the desired stick-out and tighten the
guide tube (4).
5 Screw in gas nozzle (8).
The electrode type is set by EN ISO 6848. The max. length of electrode
depends on the type of torch.
3.1 Technical Data on page EN-7
NOTICE
• The welding performance is affected by the selection of the tungsten
electrode and by wear. A smooth, groove-free sharpened end of the
tungsten electrode has a positive effect on the welding result.
1 Plug the hose assembly connection into the power supply and secure it with
a connection nut.
NOTICE
• The type and quantity of the shielding gas quantity depends on the
welding task and the gas nozzle geometry.
• To prevent the shielding gas supply from becoming clogged by
impurities, the cylinder valve must be opened briefly, before connecting
the cylinder. This will blow out any impurities that may be present.
• Make all shielding gas connections gas-tight.
1 Connect shielding gas cylinder to the wire feeding system.
2 Set the gas quantity on the pressure reducer of the shielding gas cylinder.
NOTICE
• Applies only to liquid-cooled TIG welding torches.
