EagleEye™ UV-A/White Light LED Inspection Kit
INTRODUCTION
The EagleEye™ EK-3000 inspection kit contains the EE-365 lamp, a palm-sized, versatile,
hands-free light source featuring two ultra-high intensity UV-A LEDs for NDT testing, plus a
three-LED white light assembly for general inspection. In addition, the kit contains a unique
lamp mount/sprayer that allows the lamp to be mounted together with a penetrant can for
single-handed NDT yoke inspection, and an adjustable strap so the lamp can be worn on a
helmet or directly on the head for hands-free operation. The EagleEye EK-3000 is ideal for
fl uorescent magnetic particle and penetrant testing, mining inspection and other
specialized applications.

• Powered by one rechargeable lithium-ion battery (installed). Provides up to 75 minutes of
continuous inspection between charges.
The EagleEye EK-3000 also includes two spare batteries, a battery-charging cradle with
AC and DC cord sets, two replacement splash guards with integral particulate fi lters,
UV-absorbing spectacles, a lanyard and a soft carrying case.

PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. EXPOSURE MAY CAUSE PREMATURE AGING OF THE
SKIN AND CANCER. ALWAYS WEAR PROTECTIVE EYEWEAR; FAILURE TO DO
SO MAY RESULT IN SEVERE BURNS OR LONG TERM INJURY TO EYE. Never
look directly into the lamp. Exposure can cause eye and skin allergy and allergic
reactions. Medications or cosmetics may increase your sensitivity to ultraviolet
radiation. Consult physician before operating this product if you are using
medications or have a history of skin problems or believe yourself especially
sensitive to sunlight.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• Read all instructions.
• Do not operate the lamp if it has been damaged.
• Do not look directly into the UV light. Wear UV-absorbing protective eyewear
(such as the UVS-30 glasses provided) when operating this or any UV lamp. Never
operate the lamp with the UV fi lter lens removed.
• Never use this equipment in any manner not specifi ed in these instructions because your
protection may be impaired.
CHARGING AND USE
The EagleEye EE-365 lamp is available with a charging cradle and AC and DC cords
for charging. See Replacement Parts.
• Fully charge the batteries before fi rst use.
• Place one to two batteries in the battery charging cradle (AC and DC cords supplied) and
connect the plug to the appropriate power source. The light on the battery charger will
show green when charged and red when the battery is low. A full charge for two batteries
will take approximately four hours.
• Turn the knob on the side of the lamp to open the battery compartment. Insert one Li-
on battery, positive end down (button to button), and close the compartment. The two
charged batteries will serve as backups.
• The lamp will operate for up to 75 minutes on a fully charged battery. When the green
