6.3 Special safety instructions

- The load to be lifted must never exceed the capacity of the jack
- The jack must not be operated beyond the specified max. stroke.
- Shunting under load is prohibited.
- Park the vehicle or the load to be lifted on a stable, level and horizontal surface and secure the wheels, to avoid any
unwanted movement.
- Never use the jack on inclined surfaces.
- Always position the jack such that operation of the same from under the vehicle is impossible.
- The use of the jack is only permitted with the deployment of additional safety bars, e.g. axle stands.
- Before using the jack it is important to ensure that no-one is in the vehicle, the handbrake is engaged and the engine
is turned off.
- When selecting the correct lifting points on the vehicle, always refer to the vehicle manual for guidance.
- If no lifting points are specified, the jack shall be positioned as close as possible in the centre of the load.
Caution: Incorrect positioning of the jack may lead to the load tilting. This can lead to damage to the load or jack as
well as injuries to the user.
- To avoid any movement of the vehicle during the work with the jack, all relevant measures must be taken.
- Never use the jack for any purpose other than that intended.- As an additional safety measure, jacks are equipped
with an overload valve, which is factory-adjusted. This valve must never be adjusted.
7. Work tasks with the jack
Connect the compressed air hose to the connection plug in the central jack area.
Caution: The air pressure should be 9 bar (130psi) up to a max. of 12 bar (170 psi).
Lifting: Turn the control valve in the middle of the lever to the right and the pump starts up. The load is lifted.
Lowering: Turn the control valve to the left and the load is lowered.
Caution: Lowering is only possible when you have a compressed air supply connected.
Lever: The shunt lever can be adjusted to 3 positions: 0° / 90° / 180°
Unlock fixing device on pedal – Bring lever into the desired position – Release pedal
and be careful to ensure that the fixing device audibly clicks back into place.
Hint: After using the jack, lower in order to protect the lifting cylinder.
