The E 337/1 and E 802/1 inserts can be used for reprocessing repro-
cessable instruments used in dental applications (e.g. probes, for-
ceps, mouth specula, etc.) in special Miele washer-disinfectors. Fol-
low the operating instructions for your washer-disinfector as well as
the instructions of the medical device manufacturer on how to repro-
cess their items by machine.
Before reprocessing can commence, the instruments must be sorted
and placed inside the receptacles and compartments of the inserts
and the inserts must be placed into an upper or lower basket.
The E 337/1 features the following receptacles:
– 4 plastic receptacles for instruments that are sharp at both ends
– 8 compartments, each approx. 47 x 28 mm
– 4 compartments, each approx. 30 x 28 mm
– 8 compartments, each approx. 22 x 28 mm
– 48 compartments, each approx. 13 x 13 mm, for mouth specula for
example
The E 802/1 has the following receptacles:
– 3 plastic receptacles for instruments that are sharp at both ends
– 8 compartments, each approx. 30 x 28 mm
– 4 compartments, each approx. 16 x 28 mm
– 15 compartments, each approx. 14 x 20 mm, for mouth specula for
example
The E 337/1 and E 802/1 inserts are not suitable for reprocessing
transmission instruments (dental handpieces, for example). Only fix-
tures specifically designed for the reprocessing of transmission in-
struments should be used for this purpose, e.g. the A 803 or the
AUF 1.
Disposable items must not be reprocessed.
The washer-disinfector is generally referred to as "the machine" in
these operating instructions. Reprocessable medical devices are re-
ferred to as "items" if they are not more closely defined.
