RESPONSE TO EMERGENCY SITUATIONS
The battery bank comprises multiple batteries and a sophisticated BMS designed to prevent hazards resulting from specific failures. However,
the absolute safety if the battery is mishandled cannot be guaranteed.
If a user happens to be exposed to internal materials of the battery cell due to damage on the outer casing, the following actions are
recommended:
- Inhalation: leave the contaminated area immediately and seek medical attention.
- Eye contact: rinse your eyes with running water for 15 minutes and seek medical attention.
- Ingestion: induce vomiting and seek medical attention.
If a fire breaks out in the place where the battery pack is installed, perform the following countermeasures:
Fire extinguishing media:
- A respirator is not required for normal operations.
- Use FM-200 o CO2 extinguisher.
- If fire occurs when charging the battery and if it is safe to do so, power off the switch.
- If the battery pack is not on fire yet, extinguish the fire before the battery pack catches fire.
- If the battery pack is on fire, do not try to extinguish it but evacuate people immediately.
Effective ways to deal with accidents
- On land: place damaged battery into a segregated place and call the local fire department.
- In water: stay out of the water and do not touch anything if any part of the battery, inverter, or wiring is submerged.
QUALIFIED PERSONNEL
This guide and the tasks and procedures described in it are intended for use by skilled workers only. A skilled worker is defined as a trained and
qualified electrician or installer who has all the following skills and experience:
- Knowledge of the functional principles and the operation of on-grid and off-grid (backup) systems.
- Knowledge of the dangers and risks associated with installing and using electrical devices and acceptable mitigation methods.
- Knowledge of the installation of electrical devices.
- Knowledge of all safety precautions and best practices related to solar PV installations
PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
GENERAL INFORMATION
This battery system is a high-tech researched and developed product by Inti. With its integration, miniaturization, light-weight, intelligent
centralized monitoring, battery maintenance and management, energy conservation and environmental protection, this battery system can be
widely applied in remote access network equipment, remote switch units, mobile communication, transmission equipment, home storage and
other areas as a backup power supply.
PRODUCT FEATURES
-
The battery adopts LiFePO4 as cathodic material; LiFePO4 cell life cycle could reach up to 3650 times at RT 80% DOD and 5000 times at
RT 60% DOD.
-
The system adopts a high performance of the BMS battery management module. The BMS has a current, voltage and temperature
protection function and it also allows a fluid and dynamic communication between the battery system, the inverter and the controller.
-
The monitoring unit will automatically measure the battery charge and discharge current, the charge and discharge voltage and the single
cell surface temperature;
-
Power cut off function: an alarm will turn on if the battery voltage is lower than the stablished alarm value. When the voltage is too low, the
battery will be protected turning off automatically.
-
The system has a high-quality electromagnetic compatibility.
-
The Pino batteries have an intelligent design equipped with a monitoring centralized module that does the management with the remote
central control system.
-
The Pino batteries have effective combinations of power control computer technology that can deliver real-time monitoring and control all
kinds of parameters and status.
-
Flexible indoor installation
