INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS U-HANDLE COMBO KIT
INSTALL METAL SHIELD
If necessary, remove nylon head and plastic shield.
1.
Loosely attach bracket (A) to shield (B) and attach to bottom of
gear housing (C) with screws and nuts provided.
2.
Install nuts and lockwashers on screws where indicated and tighten
all hardware.
INSTALL OPTIONAL BLADE
(Steel or Tri-Cut)
1.
Check type of gear housing assembly on unit:
Type A gear housing with black bearing seal does not require the
shaft collar. FOLLOW STEP 2.
Type B gear housing with silver bearing seal – Install shaft collar
(E) on splined shaft before installing upper plate (D).
2.
Install upper plate (D) with proper diameter pilot (20 mm or 25 mm)
on splined shaft. Pilot must match blade center hole for proper fit.
