Congratulations on your choice of an air puri-
fier from LightAir!
Your new LightAir IonFlow 50 air purifier is extremely
effective. The LightAir IonFlow technology used in
the air purifier is unique and patented. Instead
of using a filter system to process the air, this air purifier
attracts harmful particles in the indoor environment, which
then attach themselves to the collector. Traditional air puri-
fiers only filter the air that passes through the filter instead
of purifying all the air in the room where they are placed.
Tests conducted by SP, the Technical Research Institute of
Sweden, were carried out in a closed room with a constant
supply of smoke particles. The results showed that the Ligh-
tAir IonFlow 50 air purifier eliminates 99.94% of all particles
after only 5 hours. The air purifier retains its effectiveness
over time, which means that you will be able to breathe air
that is free from viruses, bacteria, pollen, spores, allergens,
dust etc, on an ongoing basis.
LightAir designs, manufactures and sells products for
optimal indoor air purification. Our entire manufacturing pro-
cess takes place under strict control in order to ensure the
highest quality. So that you get the most out of your LightAir
product and in order to enjoy optimal installation, use and
maintenance of your air purifier,
we recommend that you read this manual thoroughly. Follow
these instructions carefully, and you will be
breathing cleaner and healthier air for many years
to come.
IMPORTANT: Keep this manual for future reference.
1. For the product function and your safety.
• The air purifier should only be installed and cleaned by
adults
• The air purifier should be installed according to the instruc-
tions, at the correct distance from the wall and placed on
a secure and stable surface. If not correctly placed, the air
purifier can fall and cause injury to people or damage to its
surroundings.
S E E T O P P I C T U R E O N P A G E 3 4
Place the air purifier at least 3 feet/1 meter away from all
walls, furniture and all electronic equipment (TV, computer,
etc). If possible place the air purifier 5 feet/1.5 m or more
away from all electronic equipment. And at least 1½ feet/0.5
m away from all other items in the room. If these recommen-
dations are not followed, nearby walls and/or furniture can
become somewhat dirty.
NB. LightAir cannot be held responsible for any damage
caused as a result of failure to follow the recommendations.
• The air purifier is an electrical appliance (12V) and should
be treated as such. Be particularly careful to avoid accidents
during installation, use and maintenance.
The air purifier is certified according to international norms
and standards.
• Never use an air purifier with a damaged power cable,
transformer or damaged electronics.
• Do not place the air purifier or cable near a heat source
• Do not use the air purifier outdoors
• Do not use the air purifier in damp rooms
• Do not use the air purifier in conjunction with coloured or
oil-based candles, as they secrete a great deal of extremely
dangerous soot which can become attached to walls and
4
furniture.
• The air purifier is radio signal distress tested according to
international standards. Should the air purifier cause unwan-
ted audio distress, simply move it to a different position.
• You may experience a small electric shock when touching
the collector. This is not dangerous! The voltage of the air
purifier is equivalent to around 8% of a 1.5v battery. If you
find this mild shock unpleasant, unplug the appliance before
handling it.
2. Assembly of protective guard

5. Cleaning and maintenance
• Always unplug the transformer plug before cleaning the air
purifier.
• Do NOT wash the collector in the dishwasher.
• Do not use cleaning products that contain alcohol solutions,
ammonia or alkaline substances, as these products may
damage the air purifier.
• The collector should be cleaned around once a week or as
and when required. The collector may require more frequent
cleaning if used in highly contaminated environments.
Cleaning the collector:
IonFlow 50F & 50F Style: Remove the collector by lifting up
the ion generator with the collector attached. Then hold in
the metal hook and pull the collector downwards (pictures
1-3 on page 32, in reverse). NB. The ion generator may be
ENGLISH
damaged if you pull it upwards!
IonFlow 50C: Hold in the metal hook on the ion generator
and move the collector down (pictures J-L on page 33, in
reverse)
1. Clean the collector with washing-up liquid, warm water
and a soft sponge/dish brush
2. Dry the collector with a dishtowel
3. Put the collector back on the ion generator according to
the earlier instructions.
If you have followed all the above instructions but the col-
lector is not clean, try the following:
1. Spray cleaning fluid onto the collector and let it work for
5 minutes
2. Using a damp sponge, rub any remaining spots until they
disappear
3. Wipe the collector using a clean, damp sponge
4. Dry the collector with a towel and place it back on the ion
generator according to the earlier instructions.
5. Repeat the above procedure if necessary
Cleaning the ion generator, corona needles and acrylic
stand:
• Once every four months you may need to carefully clean
the fragile corona needles. Use a small brush (e.g. a
toothbrush) and carefully brush away the thin layer of white
lime scale and dirt which may have become attached to the
needles. Do not use pressure or water when you clean the
needles.
• Clean the ion generator and the acrylic stand with cleaning
spray and a damp cloth or sponge. Wipe clean and rub away
any remaining dirt. Dry with a towel. Do not allow the top and
bottom to come into contact with water and be careful with
the corona needles on the ion generator.
