3. USE INSTRUCTIONS
3.1
COMMANDS/SIGNALS
The PURITY front panel is provided with the power supply switch; the switch can be left to ON for all the
period during which the sterilizer is operative. Electrical consumption is limited to the feeding phase. At the
end of the day, switch PURITY off and close the water supply tap.
The signaling of the max water level in the clean water tank appears on the sterilizer front panel.
The sterilizer will signal, through the internal check of the water quality, when the PURITY filters are used
up and should therefore be replaced.
3.2
OPERATING
The PURITY unit is composed by serial connected filters: mechanical pre-filter, pump, activated carbon
filter, reverse osmosis membrane and ion-exchange resin filter.
The membrane performs the separation of polluting chemicals that are sent to the draining pipe; therefore
the draining water has a concentration in polluting chemicals higher than the input water.
The float in the sterilizer's clean water tank controls the water level and drives PURITY when needed.
The sterilizer's water tank has a capacity for several sterilization cycles (the number depends on the mod-
el and on the type of cycle), therefore it is not necessary for PURITY to be always on; however, keep in
mind that, to make available the minimum quantity of water required for a cycle, several minutes are re-
quired.
The water used during a sterilization cycle is condensed and normally collected in the sterilizer's recovery
tank. When the water level in the tank exceeds half its capacity, the used water spills over in the draining
pipe; in this way it will no longer necessary to fill the main tank nor empty the recovery one.
Anyway, if needed, the sterilizer can be normally used without connecting the PURITY unit.
