MAINTENANCE

4.1

GENERALS

The PURITY unit does not use mechanical filtering alone, as in a simple demineralizer system. The
PURITY lifetime is therefore much longer and the unit does not require special maintenance until it has
provided 1000-2000 liters of water.
The maintenance period depends on the quality of the supply water; the experience on the field indicates
that, with tap water conductivity of about 200uS, the output water limit threshold of 15uS, as recommend-
ed by the standards, is reached after about 1500 liters. With a lower quality of the tap water the filters will
last for a shorter period and will require more frequent maintenance.
No special maintenance operations are required from the user; the only component that can be user- in-
spected is the input pre-filter that could get clogged in case of maintenance interventions on the main wa-
terline.
4.2

CLEANING OF THE INPUT PRE-FILTER

-
Close off the water supply at the tap.
-
Disconnect the power supply module from the mains.
-
Switch off the sterilizer and wait for it to cool.
-
Remove the elbow fitting of the draining pipe from the PURITY back panel connector.
-
Using the special key provided with the sterilizer, remove the filter from the back panel connector (the
filter is similar to the ones used on the sterilizer).
-
Wash the filter under running water.
-
Replace the filter in the connector.
-
Connect the draining pipe.
-
Open the tap and check for no leaks.
-
Connect the power supply module and switch on PURITY.

DIAGNOSTICS

On a cold power-on of the sterilizer and with the main tank full (Led MAX of clean water tank On) the dis-
plays will show the following message at the end of the initial auto-test:
The message H2O HARD indicates the presence of high conductivity water and, consequently, the need
for PURITY maintenance; if this message is displayed in the first days after installation, it might be possi-
ble that the filters are not fully active yet. Before asking for maintenance, we suggest that the clean water
tank be completely emptied, letting PURITY to fill it up again.
If you hear the pump working but no water comes out of PURITY, check that the water tap is open and if
necessary perform the cleaning of the pre-filter as described above.
PURITY
H2O GOOD or
H2O HARD.
