Geometry adjustment
- Adjust BRILLIANCE to 32 and CONTRAST to 44 which are the nominal values.
Press EXIT. Connect a crosshatch test pattern with a black background.
- Adjust the horisontal lines, with FOCUS 1 (the red potentiometer), seen in the
middle part of the screen.
Adjust the vertical lines, with FOCUS 2 (the black potentiometer), seen in the
upper left corner of the screen.
Repeat both the vertical and the horizontal adjustment twice. See
Optimum focus is obtained by starting and fi nishing the adjustment with FOCUS 1
(the red potentiometer). The picture should be viewed approximately 10cm/4"
from the edge of the screen.
Check all the formats and adjust if necessary.
- Select the format to adjust.
- Enter SETUP and enter SERVICE MENU. Select MONITOR and select GEOMETRY
ADJUSTMENTS.
Select the parameter to change and press GO. Change the parameter setting with
m
p
and
. Press GO when the parameter setting is ok.
Select a new parameter or press STOP to return to MONITOR SERVICE MENU.
Press EXIT to exit the menu.
The following settings are fi xed and should not be adjusted.
V-OL (vertical scroll)
V-PS (vertical s-correction)
Vertical shift (V-SH), only format 1 (15:9)
Select Blanking and press
the picture on the screen. Remember to set Blanking to Off when done.
Vertical amplitude (V-AM)
Adjust V-AM to correct vertical height of the picture. Pay special attention to the
top part of the picture.
Vertical slope (V-SL), only format 1 (15:9) and format 3 (16:9)
Adjust V-SL to correct vertical height of the picture. Pay special attention to the
bottom part of the picture.
Horisontal phase (H-PH), only format 1 (15:9) and format 3 (16:9)
Adjust H-PH to the correct centring of the picture.
Horisontal amplitude (H-AM)
Adjust H-AM to the correct width of the picture.
East/west parabola (EW-PA)
Adjust the vertical lines to be as straight as possible. Pay special attention to the
middle part of the lines.
East/west upper corner (EW-UC)
Adjust the upper corners to be as straight as possible.
East/west lower corner (EW-LC)
Adjust the lower corners to be as straight as possible.
