4.0 Connecting the NAS

1. Connect a UTP network cable to the Gigabit LAN connection of the NAS.
2. Connect the other side of the UTP network cable to your router or switch. (Do not
connect the device directly to your computer)
3. Connect the connector of the power supply to the 'DC 12V' of the NAS.
4. Connect the power supply to a wall outlet.
5. Press the power button on the NAS to start the NAS.

5.0 Logging in to the NAS

There are two ways to login to the NAS. Both ways will be explained.

5.1 Logging in by using the setup utility

Visit www.eminent-online.com, fill out EM4172 in the search bar and click the blue
arrow to search your product. Also refer to the following image:
When your product has been found, click 'Support'.
At 'Drivers/software' (EM4172 Software) you can find the "iSharing Finder" which you
can use to setup the EM4172.
1. Download, extract and install the "iSharing Finder" software package.
2. Double-click the icon which is placed on the desktop.
3. If correct, an IP-Address will be shown.
