- An acoustic signal confirms every successfully completed operation.
- If both keys are touched at the same time, the system will switch to << 0 >>.
- << H >> in the display indicates the presence of residual heat (see Chapter on Putting into

By pressing the key <Lock keys>, the control system can be put into a safe operating mode; in this mode
no changes can be made to the heating levels.
In locked mode, the laboratory hot plate can only be switched off.

Locking is confirmed by an acoustic signal.

Timer functions

The laboratory hot plate contains a timer with the two following functions:
- A timer function for the heating zone. The heating zone automatically switches off after the time set in the
timer has expired. The timer for the heating zone can only be set, when a heat intensity between 1 and 9
has been selected.
- A freely available "egg timer" function. The "egg timer" function operates regardless of whether the
heating zone has been switched on or off. An acoustic signal is emitted when the set time has expired.
The time set on the "egg timer" does not in any way affect the operation of the heating zone.
In order to use either of the timer functions, the timer must first be activated by pressing the <Timer sensor
key>.
When the <Timer sensor key> is pressed for the first time, the "egg timer function" can be programmed.
To indicate this mode, only the LED lamp to the right of the timer time display will light up.
When the <Timer sensor key> is pressed for a second time and the heating zone is switched on, the
heating zone can be programmed. This mode is indicated by an additional flashing LED lamp to the left of
the timer time display.
