INSTALLATION
6.1
Unpacking
Check that the product is complete. The package
should contain:
control box CB-WCS 15
user manual
electric diagram
If parts seem to be missing or damaged, contact your
supplier immediately.
6.2
Installation
CAUTION!
.
Do not position the product where it is
exposed to vibrations or heat radiation from
heat sources. Observe the earlier described
ambient conditions.
When drilling holes note any gas, water and
electricity lines.
Loosen the mounting screws (fig. 4A) and remove
the cover.
Attach the housing using four bolts against the
wall. For this purpose mounting holes (fig. 4B) have
been provided in the housing.
6.3

Electric connection

CAUTION
.
Make sure that the system is suitable for
connection to the local mains. Information
about the connection voltage and frequency
can be found on the identification plate. The
cables must be connected in conformance
with the local rules and regulations and can
only be carried out by well qualified and
authorised technicians.
Connect the CB-WCS 15 electrically to (see the
electrical diagram):
- mains 24V, BN/WH
- frequency inverter out 4-20 mA
- frequency inverter on/off
- WCS 1-15, AD 200 1-15
6.3.1 Mains (24V AC/DC)
Feed the 24V supply cable of the control box CB-
WCS 15 through the grommet and connect the
cable in accordance with the also supplied electric
diagram.
Tighten the cap nut.

6.3.2 Frequency inverter (4-20 mA + on/off)
Feed the cable of the frequency inverter through the
grommet and connect the cable in accordance with
the also supplied electric diagram.
The CB-WCS 15 MC (middle contact) and NO
(normally open) are used to start and stop the
frequency inverter. Connect this to the
corresponding input of the inverter.
The + and - OUT signal is the 4-20 mA signal,
which is used to control the frequency. Connect
this to the corresponding input of the inverter.
Tighten the cap nut.
6.3.3 WCS 1-15
To connect the automatic start/stop device WCS a
junction box has to be mounted with the extraction arm
to make a connection to the AD 200 and subsequently
with a 4-cored cable to make a connection with the CB-
WCS 15.
Feed the 4-cored cable through the grommet and
connect the cable in accordance with the also
supplied electric diagram
Tighten the cap nut.
The CB-WCS 15 is suitable to connect a maximum of
15 WCS welding cable sensors. Each of these WCS
can be set separately by means of the potmeters 1-15
(fig. 5).

CAUTION!
.
Prevent damage. Note the colour codes when
connecting.
Tighten the cap nut.
Setting the installation can continue after connecting
the electrical components.
6.4

Functioning and setting of the installation

In combination with a WCS and an AD 200 for every
extraction arm, the CB-WCS 15 controls the extraction
volume of a central fan. The more extraction arms are
switched on by means of the WCS, the quicker the fan
runs and the higher the extraction volume will be.
In addition, the run-out period of each extraction arm
can be set separately from 0 to 300 seconds by means
of the 15 potmeters (fig. 5E). This time is standard set
at 20 seconds.
The initial delay can be set at 0 to 5 seconds. Setting
takes place by means of potmeter 3 (fig. 5F) and can
be switched on or off with the belonging dip switches
