3.3 MAXIMUM ALLOWED HEIGHT OF THE WORKING PLATFORMS
To calculate the maximum height allowed for each configuration, consult page 1. In any case
the maximum height of the MOBILE SCAFFOLDING 9475-632 (TA950HF) scaffolding working
platform is 3.1 m for indoor and outdoor use. The minimum vertical gap between working
platforms (when more than one is mounted) is 1.90 m. The maximum vertical gap between
working platforms (when more than one is mounted) is 4.00 m. The maximum vertical distance
between the floor and the first platform is 4.00 m.
3.4 SUB-PLATFORM
The sub-platform (safety platform, with the same design as a regular platform) is compulsory
for work exceeding 5 days, and must be positioned below the working platform at a distance
less than 2.50 m.
3.5 WIND LIMITS
Use of mobile scaffolding is forbidden in case of wind. The scaffolding must be disassembled
and anchored firmly to a fixed, stable structure. Pay attention to the "wind tunnel" effect when
working in indoor construction sites.
4 IDENTIFICATION
4.1 BASE
The base is composed of two aluminium columns, with rectangular pillars and beams at a
300-mm distance from one another, with the purpose of supporting the working platform and
serving as a straight rung-type ladder for access to the working platforms themselves. The
beams have a knurled anti-slip surface. The topmost part of the two pillars is tapered (to
increase the possibility of engaging and blocking additional lifting). While the bottom part is
equipped with 4 fully locking spinning castors, inserted by means of plug-in supports. The base
is composed of 2 horizontal tie rods, 2 diagonal tie rods, and stabilizing arms to increase the
stability of the mobile scaffolding.
4.2 PLATFORM RISERS
The platform risers include 2 modular aluminium columns. The risers are designed to be locked
to one another.
4.3 TIE RODS
The tie rods are made of aluminium tube. A quick-lock system shall be mounted at the ends of
each rod as described in this manual. The interlocking system shall then be inserted at the ends
of the rounded rungs along the aluminium columns, and locked to the structure by turning the
handle.
