Foreword
To guarantee a correct function and a minimal service,
it is important to read and understand the information in
this instruction manual.

relevant directives. To maintain this status all installation,
repair and maintenance work must be carried out by
qualified personnel. Contact the manufacturer or your
nearest authorised dealer for advice on technical service.
Applications
The fan and filter unit N3 is designed for filtering out
smoke- and dust particles as well as gases/vapours
from solvents.
Application examples:
Smoke and dust
Soldering, grinding, polishing. For these applications
the N3 unit can be used for jobs with low to mediumsized
intensity. The N3 unit can also be used for soldering
production jobs.
Solvents
Gluing, lacquer-work (el.components), cleaning,
painting. For these applications the N3 unit can be used
for temporary jobs with low intensity.
WARNING!
Risk for personal injury, fire or explosion!
Do not use the N3 unit for inflammable dust,
toxic gases/vapours or gases/vapours in
inflammable or explosive concentrations.

Mounting instruction / Installation
See pictures page 2 - 3.
IMPORTANT! On the fan's terminal block A and B
must be connected to each other if the thyristor not
will be connected. (see picture page 2).
Directions for use
A thyristor controls the extraction capacity by adjusting
the speed of the fan (see picture page 2).
The fan is equipped with a termal contact which releases
at too high temperature. The contact reverts automatically.
WARNING!
Risk for personal injury!
All work with the fan unit must be done
with the plug disconnected.
When must the filter unit be changed?
The disposable filter is not designed to be cleaned. The
filter´s effective life is directly related to the environment
in which it is used and the particles it is required to filter
away. Normally, however, a filter should have a life of
several months.
The filter unit contains a particle filter and a carbone
filter. A full particle filter is indicated by an inadequate
suction capacity. A full carbone filter is indicated by
an increasing odour.
To ensure the filter unit is changed regularly, mark the
the date the filter unit was brought into use.
Year
Changing the filter unit
WARNING!
Risk for personal injury!
Disconnect the mains supply before
changing the filter.
Seal the used filter with the plastic cover supplied with the
new filter. Put the used filter in a plastic bag and obey any
regulations that apply to the disposal of the captured
particles.
