Safety information shall be understood:
1.
Study, understand and follow all instructions before operating this device.
2.
Do not exceed rated capacity.
3.
Support the vehicle with appropriate means immediately after lifting.
4.
Lift only on areas of the vehicle as specified by the vehicle manufacturer.
5.
No alterations shall be made to this product.
6.
Only attachments and/or adapters applied by the manufacturer shall be used.
7.
Visual inspection shall be made before each use by checking for abnormal conditions, such as cracked welds, leaks, and damaged, loose, or missing
parts.
8.
It shall be the responsibility of the employer to ensure that applicable personal protective equipment (PPE) complies with applicable local safety codes.
9.
Any product that appears to be damaged in any way, is found to be worn, or operates abnormally SHALL BE REMOVED FROM SERVICE UNTIL
REPAIRED OR REPLACED.
10.
Before lifting a load, ensure it is on a stable, flat, horizontal and clean surface (no grease nor oil) (2).
11.
Check the load to lift is perfectly immobilised (3).
12.
To support the load, use another appropriate means.
13.
To prevent the assembly from slipping, always centre the load on the hydraulic workshop crane (6).
14.
Never use extensions (5).
15.
Check the oil level regularly (7). Conversely, too much oil can damage or alter the adjustment of the devices (see "instructions for perfect use").
16.
When changing the oil, never use brake fluid, alcohol, glycerine, detergents, motor oil or used oil. Using dirty oil can cause major internal damage to
your equipment. For more information, contact your FACOM distributor directly. FACOM recommends using the oil type
17.
Check the precaution label is legible at all times. When retrofitting your equipment, the operating instructions (NU-DL.1GP_0218) is available.
18.
If the device jams, lift the vehicle with another jack until the first can be cleared.
19.
Do not use the hydraulic workshop crane in the presence of violent wind, frost, under extreme climates, near powerful magnetic fields or potentially
explosive atmospheres.
20.
Avoid any contact between the hydraulic workshop crane and food.
21.
Never use this hydraulic workshop crane to lift persons.
22.
Never use this hydraulic workshop crane as a handling means (for moving loads).
23.
Before use on a ship, please refer to the safety instructions in point 10 of these instructions.
24.
The maximum manual forces required for operating the hydraulic workshop crane (unloaded and loaded with the nominal load respectively) do not
exceed the following values:
To start moving an unloaded movable or mobile hydraulic workshop crane : 300 N
To maintain the movement of the unloaded hydraulic workshop crane : 200 N
To start moving a loaded mobile hydraulic workshop crane : 400 N
To maintain the movement of the loaded hydraulic workshop crane : 300 N
To lift the loaded hydraulic workshop crane using the lever of a hand pump: 400 N
To lift the loaded hydraulic workshop crane using a foot pump: 400 N
To lift the hydraulic workshop crane with a rated load ≤ 5 t using a crank: 250 N
NOTE If the loads generated exceed these values, they must be reduced by the intervention of additional persons.
25.
If oil overflows, please do not use the hydraulic workshop crane, and refer to section 7 of these user instructions or contact your Facom dealer.
26.
This hydraulic workshop crane is designed for 5000 operating cycles minimum.
27.
This hydraulic workshop crane complies with the NF EN 1494+A1 standard: Mobile or movable jacks and associated lifting equipment.
Failure to heed these markings may result in personal injury and/or property damage.
2. INSTRUCTIONS FOR PERFECT USE
1.
Before each use, check the hydraulic workshop crane. You must particularly check for oil leaks, damaged or missing parts.
2.
Faulty parts must be replaced by skilled staff with FACOM original parts.
3.
Each part in the hydraulic workshop crane must be checked in case of load considered abnormal or following a shock.
3. ASSEMBLY
1.
Fasten the 2 rear wheels onto the base using the nuts, washers, spacers and brackets. (A)
2.
Fasten the 2 feet to the base using the safety pin (item 12) and the nuts, washers as shown in the drawing. (B)
3.
Fasten the column (item 23) onto the base assembly using the two M12x25 short screws (items 44 & 2) and the two M12x110 long screws
(items 21 & 2). (C)
4.
Fit the jack on the axis. Do not forget the centering spacers (item 34). Secure the arm (item 27) onto the column (item 23) using the screws, nuts
(items 25 & 26). Ask a second person for help during the fastening operation.
With the arm in the high position, fasten the upper part of the jack (item 35) using the nuts, screws and centering spacers (item 45, 34 & 46). (D)
5.
Slide the boom (item 30) onto the arm (item (27) and lock it using the axis (item 36) or pins (item 37). (D)
4. USE AND OPERATION (§ 7.1.2 de l'EN 1494+A1)
1.
Prior to using the hydraulic workshop crane, the hydraulic circuit needs to be drained in order to eliminate any air from the valve system of the hydraulic
unit. From behind the hydraulic workshop crane, turn the group handle 90º while pumping the hydraulic unit several times. By releasing the handle, the
hydraulic workshop crane is ready for use. Turn the hydraulic unit to activate the pump from the most comfortable work position.
2.
To lift the load, activate the lever which enables you to choose a comfortable position due to the fact it is revolving. If lifting an engine, secure it at the
points recommended by the manufacturer.
3.
To lower the load, turn the handle. This system enables the lowering to be regulated and controlled manually and precisely.
The hydraulic workshop crane will stop the lowering process when the handle is not activated.
4.
Following use of the hydraulic workshop crane, the piston of the hydraulic unit should be fully retracted. First move the slide to its initial position.
