Capacitive charging (note: "Battery Fully Charged" LED lashes)
The battery is charged with a constant voltage of up to approx. 100%
of the full capacity in the capacitive charging phase. The voltage is
increased by 0.4V when compared to main charging.
Testing (note: "Battery Fully Charged" LED lashes)
The battery is checked for damage during this phase.
Maintenance (note: "Battery Fully Charged" LED illuminates continu-
ously)
The objective of this phase is continuous maintenance of 100%
capacity. The battery charger measures the voltage continuously
and triggers charging if the voltage lies below 12.6V or 25.2V for 24V
batteries (JMP 30000 only).
Intelligent boost mode (note: "Discharging" LED lashes)
Boost mode is employed to rapidly charge a deep discharged bat-
tery. The battery is initial charged with the maximum current for 30
minutes. The battery is then checked to determine whether it is ready
for normal charging. The boost mode is repeated for 30 minutes (a
maximum of 4 times) if the voltage is still inadequate. The charger
indicates an error if the battery still does not contain any voltage.
